- Emergency rental assistance — one-time and short-term grants for residents facing eviction due to job loss, medical crisis, or other hardship.
- Eviction prevention counseling — legal aid referrals, tenant rights education, and mediation support before court proceedings begin.
- Affordable homeownership — CLT model homes available to income-qualified buyers at below-market prices, with permanent affordability covenants.
- Utility assistance — emergency support for electric, gas, and water bills to prevent utility shutoffs that destabilize housing.
- Housing search support — one-on-one navigation for residents seeking affordable rental units, including landlord outreach and application assistance.

Our workforce navigators provide one-on-one coaching, job placement support, and skills training referrals — helping residents build careers that sustain stable housing and family wellbeing.

- Community Health
Community Health Worker Program
Bayit-trained Community Health Workers meet residents where they are — in homes, clinics, and community spaces — bridging the gap between social services and healthcare to address the root causes of instability.
- In-home health navigation — CHWs visit residents at home to assess needs, provide education, and connect with services.
- Chronic disease management support — coaching for residents managing diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and other conditions.
- Mental health connection — warm referrals to mental health providers, crisis support resources, and peer support programs.
- Social determinants screening — structured assessment of food security, transportation, housing quality, and other health-affecting factors.
- Care coordination — support navigating health insurance, scheduling appointments, and following up on care plans.

Transportation Mobility Partnership
In partnership with Vehicles for Change, we help low-income Maryland workers access reliable transportation — because getting to work is the first step to keeping a home.
- Donated vehicle access — qualifying residents receive donated, inspected vehicles at low or no cost through our Vehicles for Change partnership.
- Auto repair assistance — emergency repair grants and low-cost repair referrals for residents whose vehicles need maintenance to remain roadworthy.
- Driver education support — assistance with licensing fees, driving lessons, and DMV navigation for residents who need a license to access employment.
- Insurance navigation — guidance on low-cost auto insurance options and state programs for income-qualified drivers.
- Rideshare bridge support — short-term rideshare credits for residents waiting for vehicle placement or repair.

Your first 30 days with Bayit
- Day 1–2 — Submit your application. Our intake team reviews and contacts you within 2 business days.
- Day 3–7 — Initial assessment with your assigned navigator to understand your needs and goals.
- Day 7–14 — Program enrollment and connection to immediate assistance if needed.
- Day 14–30 — Active support begins across all relevant programs, with regular check-ins.
